Belize

This small Central American country boasts the longest barrier reef in the western hemisphere, the famous Blue Hole, three of the four true atolls in this hemisphere, rainforests, jungles, exotic animals of all kinds, Mayan ruins, great hiking, rafting, waterfalls, caving, and many other adventure activities.

Strongly pro-environment and eco-sensitive, Belizeans go to great lengths to conserve the country's native beauty. You won't find strip malls, superhighways, and fast-food joints, but you will find world-class diving, nature preserves that occupy over one-fifth of the country's territory, and an unhurried, laid-back paradise that sets the perfect stage for a relaxing or adventurous vacation.
